Press Conference, ISU women

Hey all-
Hope your day is going well, and thanks for checking back. There will be a new story about Bill Fennelly and Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale uploaded soon on www.iowastatedaily.com so I encourage everyone to check it out.
The press conference was a good one today, nothing unexpected came from it. So here are some random notes and thoughts from today's presser.
First of all, at the Oklahoma State/Texas A&M game tonight they announced tomorrow's game is completely sold out. So yeah, it's going to be a hard task to win ... as if it wasn't already. Last I heard Jamie Pollard didn't order 3,000 tickets to give away, so chances are there are going to be a lot of Oklahoma fans in attendance.
Did you know?
Iowa State holds the most wins in the Big 12 Tournament with 15. Oklahoma has 14.
Iowa State is 2-1 in the Championship game. Oklahoma is 3-1.
Iowa State holds the record for most 3-pointers made in a Tournament game, with 14, set on March 8, 2000.
More random factoids to come later :) I can't use them all up now!
Tomorrow is going to be an extremely tough game...a lot of things need to go right for the Cyclones to win. The 5 seed and the 2 seed have never met before, so I'll be interested to see how it plays out tomorrow night.
The Sooners are not taking the Cyclones lightly. Obviously the Cyclones are not taking the Sooners lightly, either. Both Fennelly and Coale are class-act coaches who have their teams ready to play every game.
The matchup this year earlier in Norman is hopefully not a sign of things to come. This is a totally different Iowa State team, but it's also a totally different Sooners team. The best part about it all is that the teams' styles are completely different.
Iowa State is a perimeter team, whereas Oklahoma is a pound-it-inside team. And if Wieben and Pierson get in foul trouble, that means Ross or Nisleit will be forced to guard Courtney Paris for a little bit, and that could be unfortunate. Especially when OU has both Ashley and Courtney Paris on the floor.
That's all that i have for now, check in a bit later for some more information. Hope you all are having a great day, and thanks for reading.
