Gametime is almost here. Hope you're enjoying some of the photos from the shootaround. Sorry, can't take any during the game, but check on the Daily's site at www.iowastatedaily.com for game photos.
I was wrong about Tech. The Red Raiders overtook Colorado, but couldn't hold on, and Colorado used a layup with 35 seconds left to break a tie and take the lead for good, winning 71-67. The Buffs now have No. 1 seed Texas A&M tomorrow.
Quickly...
Kansas State has our number. We beat them twice this season, and this is a team that beat No. 1 seed Texas A&M earlier in the season. And wouldn't you be upset if a team had already beaten you twice in one season?
Look for Wieben to tee-up from beyond the arc. She has a good long-range shot, and has often had some open looks this season. And with family and friends present at the Big 12 Tournament, Wieben may bury one or two from 3-point range. And she was taking shots from center court at yesterday's practice.
I just don't see a blowout happening, one way or another. Buckle up. Kansas State is NOT an easy team, don't let the No. 12 seed fool you.
That's all I have for now. Next post will be with 10 minutes gone in the first half. Stay tuned.
