Let the trash talking begin.
It's going down, the plethora or OU fans absolutely demolishing ISU fans, but, then again, why wouldn't they? Defending champions who has beaten Iowa State three consecutive times. Plus they have home court advantage.
Even all of the media representatives seem pretty confident in Oklahoma's chances, and again, why shouldn't they be? The Sooners are the clear favorite in this game, and probably would have been had they played A&M as well.
With all of that said, this is why they play the game. Throw everything out of the window, because the team that gets one more win returns home with a conference crowd.
Above are some pictures from the pregame shootaround. Sorry some of them are so dark, but I think you get the idea :)
Pregame thoughts from ISU athletic director Jamie Pollard -- "I'm glad we have Bill Fennelly coaching. If anyone can beat these guys, he can."
Pregame thoughts from ISU senior associate athletic director Steve Malchow -- "I'm glad we have a senior point guard and they have a freshman point guard. You never know how that youth is going to react during a big game like this."
Pregame final score guess from KASI color analyst Brent Blum : 72-61 Sooners.
I plead the fifth on my final score guess.
One other thing to watch out for if you're an ISU fan -- Look for a quick timeout from coach Bill Fennelly if the Cyclones fall down early. I mean 4-0 or 6-0. He's probably going to want to stop the bleeding before the game gets out of hand.
And there you have it. The clock reads 45:45 until tipoff. And then it's gametime!
See you in the first half.
