First half, part two

Oh, the things I’m doing for you guys. I have to run back and forth from the court to the media room because the internet on the floor is dead. Getting my exercise. All is well!

Iowa State is really pushing the ball up the floor, picking up the pace of the game.

7:48 Nebraska is spreading out Iowa State’s defense really well. Up by 5 with two free throws on the way. Honestly, not looking terribly good for the Cyclones right now. They seem lost, flustered, and Nebraska is sharp.

ISU men’s coach Greg McDermott in the crowd, cheering on the women’s team. On the other hand, there is a CRAZY Oklahoma fan in a hockey jersey with his face painted, chanting Go Big Red….Interesting. And, honestly, he looks like a complete idiot.

7:34 Nebraska is starting to collapse down low every time…I’m talking three people collapsing in the lane. ISU should get some open looks around the perimeter if that continues. Nebraska leads 25-20.

7:05 layup makes it a seven-point game. ISU needs to convert now. Medders missed a three..Nebraska rebound. Nebraska hit a three, and leads by 10. Timeout Fennelly.

The Crowd is EXTREMELY loud, trying to will these girls into a little run of their own. Let’s see if it works.

6:17, Medders steals and draws a foul on the layup.. First one up, good. Second one up, good, 30-24 Nebraska, ISU fans screaming hard. Cyclones have tied their entire first half score of yesterday

5:34 Lacey for three. 32-27 Huskers. Clones trying to close the gap.

4:46 Lacey with another three. 32-30 and ALL the momentum on the Cyclones’ side right now. This was the type of resilience Fennelly needed to see. And he got it.

I wish McDermott would have painted his chest like Bruce Pearl did for Tennessee. That would have been great.

2:30 Medders with a sweet pass to Ross who hits the layup this time. Huskers lead down to 1.

45.5 Huskers turn it back to the Cyclones. Ill-advised shot by Ezell is an air ball, and Huskers will have the final possession.

5.5 Three pointer buries the Cyclones. Huskers up nine at the half, 45-36. Wieben has barely played since that missed 3-pointer. Hmm....
