12:05 ISU men's basketball team press conference.
2:30 ISU women's basketball second-round game against Nebraska.
Keep in mind, in addition to stories in the Daily, which you all should check out, plenty more information can be found here, keeping you as up-to-date as possible.
For those who missed it (and didn't scroll down) the ISU women's team won today, beating 12th seed Kansas State 57-45, securing a meeting against No. 4 seed Nebraska. The Cyclones went 3-0 against KSU this season. They went 1-1 against Nebraska.
Here's a few interesting tidbits for you about the women's team. You know, things you didn't know you wanted to know, thanks to the Big 12 for compiling this info.
The No. 5 seed is 11-0 all-time in the Big 12 Tourney.
Iowa State is 6-1 in first round games.
Iowa State is 5-4 in second round games. (Lost last year's second rounder to Oklahoma)
No. 4 is 5-5 against No. 5
ISU coach Bill Fennelly has more Big 12 Tournament wins (16) then any other active Big 12 coach.
Going back to the regular season, Iowa State has won six games in a row.
The key to tomorrow's game is obviously scoring. Not only can the Cyclones not afford to start out slow, but they need EVERYONE to contribute, as they're 13-1 when three or more players hit double figures.
In addition, Iowa State needs to jump out to a quick lead and keep it there, as it's 18-1 when leading at the half.
I appreciate everyone bearing with me while I continue to try and improve for you. Again, any suggestions, any more information you want, etc, be sure to let me know. Drop me a line if you want, pabrown@iastate.edu.
I hope you have a great night. Thanks for reading. I'll try and do better tomorrow.
